Re: Question #85864399

It doesn't sound like he was a SFI engineer. Plusnet need to clarify this.
I had a SFI last week and he was here at least an hour on two occasions during the day.

Re: Question #85864399

He just checked my speeds at the pc then looked the main socket over and checked line quality and speed from there.  He said they were ok for the profile I was on and it was what everyone else was getting. At no time did he do anything that Chris has posted in one of his replies. I would really like the line running at the best speed it can support, not just what Plusnet/BTO deem I should be grateful for.

Re: Question #85864399

Did when the engineer told me to.  Don't like doing it too often case it causes DLM to kick in  Roll_eyes
Have just rebooted and there is little improvement

Re: Question #85864399

When the engineer was there he got me to reboot the router once he had done all his tests and adjusted the profile. Haven't touched it since.

Re: Question #85864399

I was looking at what you posted above:
DSL Up Time:0 day(s) 00:11
That shows the ADSL line has only been up for 11 minutes (or seconds).

Re: Question #85864399

Ah yes  That is something peculiar with this router since I upgraded the firmware. The actual up time is shown under System Up Time.
