Prompts for password

Hi all, not sure if this is the correct forum to be asking this but here goes, I have been prompted all day for my network password (authentication?) all I do is click ok, the message box closes for a while but then pops up again after about an hour or so. Is this anything to do with the email problem as I'm also having problems receiving mail (via Outlook) even when I request a send/receive. I can still access the net & have no problem connecting. Any ideas anyone?

Yes I did see that, so it looks as though I've been having the same problem. No info in service status messages though which is the first place I looked in, maybe they need updating?

Chris - Those issues should still be fixed.
Are you still unable to log in to webmail?

and despite the latest statement I have just had another rejected login by the email server

Is it intermittent or permanant?  Do you get the same in webmail & telnet?

Intermittent - as that was only one of 4 checked mailboxes and the other three worked.
All worked next time.
I have also started getting this when clicking on a link in the forum

I get that when I hold the 'alt' key down a little too long after alt-tabbing into my browser..

I'm being asked for my password each time I log in to collect my mail.

Does it then allow you to receive your email or is it just bombing you out each time?

No James I don't get bombed out and i can download my email.  Still being asked for password this morning though.

Don't know if this is linked but some of us are unable to get new emails through Outlook Express this morning, see http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/freenetname/f/3648443-email-problems.html

Thanks for the replies. @ jameseh I have just logged into webmail & Outlook is downloading my messages ok & the password prompt has stopped prompting! Everthing seems to be running smoothly.

You're lucky - Madasafish, Waitrose & Greenbee emails are still down
