Re: Profile problem (again)?

Didn't know anyone had that pic  Wink
Will be happy when it is back working again as found a s.o.b. fault in upstairs wiring this afternoon (wires looked ok but upon attempt to remove and refit the wire just broke away). Got me thinking the sky box (linked via telephone cable) was causing it when plugged in the router resync'd. Very busy upstairs and down checking and reterminating connections, bandpass filters everywhere, wires etc...
BT speedtester doing what it does best, i.e not working, so just waiting for my BT profile to catch up with my in-house sync of 8128kbps as well as my Plusnet profile currently at 6000kbps

Re: Profile problem (again)?

Uptime for over 31 hrs now but BT profile and PN profile set to 2000kbps. Should this go up soon to 7150kbps?

Re: Profile problem (again)?

Interleaving is now off and fast path on (max bit rate (kbps) from 8992 to 9120 now). Profile now at 7150kbps.
Typ. 6.5Mbps now glad to say but got this too: http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/results/05152970.png
With regards to noise margin, what are acceptable levels? Mine (DS) is mostly at 12db (sometimes 11db).
Cheers James

Re: Profile problem (again)?

If you're syncing at 8128Kbps, an increased noise margin is an indication of a good telephone line.
