Profile increased but throughput remains the same.

My profile has increased from 4000 to 4500 over the last few days but my throughput has not altered.
Is this normal?

Re: Profile increased but throughput remains the same.

Hi Bob,
A jump from 4000-4500 is a pretty small one.  Any improvement that you might see may be negligible.
You might also need to reboot your router.

Re: Profile increased but throughput remains the same.

Why would I need to reboot my router?
I am synching at about 5900 at the moment with a profile of 4500. My throughput is about 3700 on the speed test.
This has not altered since I was synching at 4600 with a  profile of 4000.
I would have expected some increase but there has been none at all.

Sometimes when we amend our profiling, a router reboot is required.

This has happened to me too.

Only the Today entry is at 6Mbps - all the rest are at 5.5Mbps profiles
Currently my sync rate is 7.1Mbps - so quite a difference!

Re: Profile increased but throughput remains the same.

Seems to have sorted itself out without a reboot of the router. Throughput has now increased to around 4000.
Looks like you just have to wait for things to happen and not be impatient.
