Profile change request

Hi,
Read in another thread that the Plusnet IP profile should not be higher than the BT profile as this could cause extra latency.
Checked last night and my BT profile was at 14.16Mbps and according to the member centre my Plusnet profile is at 14.4Mbps.
Am i correct with my statement and does this mean my profile needs lowering a little bit?

Yes, sorry to disappoint though as tests show it's currently at 9000kbps so I've had to lower that a bit further.
Have you noticed any issues that might have caused that to happen?

Re: Profile change request

No nothing changed at my end and no noticeable drop in performance.
Just re-ran the btspeedtester and it's still showing 14.16Mbps:
1. Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
Download  Speed
8.78 Mbps

0 Mbps 21 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 8.78 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 14.16 Mbps
2. Upstream Test:  -provides background information.
Upload Speed
0.99 Mbps

0 Mbps 0.83 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.99Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps

Does that mean you can raise it higher?

Re: Profile change request

Hi Mathias,
A line test I've just completed now shows an increased profile of 14164 so I've matched that to the nearest one on our systems which is 14100.
It seems that the sync speed may have been lower for some reason when the line last resynced, I'd assume that's caused that drop in profile yesterday.
Obviously do let us know if you see that happen again.
Adam
