Since I started paying £5 per month for the Pro add-on on 3rd May, how much of that time has it actually been working?

To be honest it looks like i did the right thing, cancelled it as it didn't make and difference to my connection  Sad

Unfortunately, there's no easy way of identifying how long you were affected by the problem jelv. I'll take a look at your account now and refund last month's Pro charge.

By what others posted I'm guessing it went wrong on the previous billing date (3rd June) and was wrong until it was corrected on 22nd. I had been seeing some odd glitches when using RDP over VPN - I've not noticed any since 22nd.

I've had nothing but problems with this pro addon, which I require both for work and play.
As you kindly did for jelv could someone take a look at my profile please and confirm I'm actually getting what I'm paying for because my speeds where terrible the other day for anything other than standard browsing!?

Looks like it was set incorrectly, sorry about that. It's been changed now, you should notice the change go through shortly.

Hi,
I'm a long-standing PN customer (since '03 or '04) and have switched today from BBYW Pro to PN Extra with the Pro addon, but am noticing extremely poor usenet connection speeds.  On BBYW, I would have generally expected to see downloads at line speed - this evening (22:00) I'm getting about 15-16KB/s.  Two questions:

  • Does the Pro addon take a number of days to activate?

  • Is it possible that my broadband "profile" is set incorrectly at PN's end?


Would appreciate any light on the subject and a useful resolution - am feeling a bit foolish to have switched just now!

Was your billing date today?
There's a bug that means that it doesn't always activate properly, but we have been assured that it should get picked up by a daily script and be corrected.
Check it out tomorrow to see if it has kicked in to action.
