With the extreme weather we are having here in Northern Ireland the lights keep fickering off however nothing else is cutting off except the router reboots (obviously very sensitive) now I'm worried that all this doing down and coming back up again that BT is now going to end up classing my line as unstable. Given my pathetic rate of 1.25mb I can't afford for this to happen. Is this a possibility in these circumstances?
You could buy a UPS, which would not only keep your router powered for at least half and hour during power failures, but it would also be a very effective mains filter further protecting your broadband.
