Power Cuts and reconnects

In the recent bad weather we've had a number of power cuts (trees falling on power lines)
When I had a copper link, this would always reconnect. Now we have fibre (FTTC) it NEVER reconnects. I always need to power cycle both the modem and the router.
The HUAWEI  does not have a user interface so hard to see what it's up to ... my guess is its a timing issue ... modem gets user+passwd from modem but it trys BEFORE modem is fully up ... does this sound plausible?

Re: Power Cuts and reconnects

Hi there,
If the router is trying to authenticate before the modem has sync then it will fail to connect, the modem will need to be in sync first.

Re: Power Cuts and reconnects

Looks like this is yet another drawback of FFTC....so had I been away from the house e.g. on Holiday it would have gone off the air and stayed that way 'till I returned. Can I not set the Technicolor to retry after some time?

Re: Power Cuts and reconnects

It is actually designed to keep retrying so it should connect as long as the previous session has completely terminated.
