Possible Capped Speed

I recently moved house and appreciate that my broadband has only been live for 36 hours but checking my router stats it seems my download is being capped at 2Mbps, not sure if this is part of the setup procedure so do I need to wait for 10 days before this could change.

When I used the broadband with the previous supplier I was getting around 3.5Mbps.

I have attached my router stats

Re: Possible Capped Speed

Sorry to hear the speeds aren't as expected.

I've tested your line and there's no cap on it with your current DLM profile being "WBC 160K - 24M No delay (INP 0) 6dB Downstream, UC No delay (INP 0) 6dB Upstream (ADSL2+)"

I'd recommend raising a fault here so we can take a further look

Re: Possible Capped Speed

@MatthewWheeler , thanks I've raised a fault and did the diagnostics on the BT wholesale page, #

It mentioned the profile of my line is 1.8Mbps could that be the issue

Re: Possible Capped Speed

Hi there.

The IP profile is determined by your connections sync rate.

Can you try the steps Here letting us know how you get on?

Re: Possible Capped Speed

I did test it in the master socket last night and got 2300Kbps on my router.

Still slower than I was getting when using the previous broadband provider in the property which was over 3Mbps

With the speed of the line so slow every little bit extra I can get is helpful.
