Ive been asked by my card machine provider if ports 8941 and 8943-8945 are open on my line and if not is it possible to open them?

Re: Ports

Good Morning,

These ports should not be blocked our side however you may need to setup port forwarding on your router to forward all traffic on those ports to the correct device on your network.

Which router are you using at the moment?

Re: Ports

Im using a TP-Link Archer D2. I enabled DMZ on the IP of the card reader to see if that fixed the issue, would that work the same as forwarding the ports?

Re: Ports

Putting the card reader in a DMZ will essentially forward all non specifically routed ports to that IP, this can cause further issues or security concerns however should allow the device to work if the issue was related to ports being open/closed
