Portforwarding and DDNS

Hey guys.
Just upgraded my broadband to plusnet and am in the process of configuring my old stuff back the way I like it.
One issue i have is with the Technicolor 582n. I'm having an absolute nightmare getting it to allow me to connect to my NAS (NSA 310) via DDNS. I believe I have port forwarded the correct port (Not entirely sure because of the way everything is worded and supposedly made easier).
However rather than logging into the NAS remotely my address logs me into the router.
The NAS is setup correctly and worked with my previous router.
As for the DDNS option on the router i've switched it on and it logs into the router and switched it off and also still logs into the router.
Any ideas?
