Poor upload speed

I had a forced migration to ADSL after a home move as there are no spaces at the cabinet

The modem syncs at 15.6/0.46 the download speed is pretty good at 13.5 mb but the upload is so bad I can't really use the connection to work from home. I really miss the 8 mbps upload and this really is bugging me.

Have been on the phone to customer service to remove the upload speed cap and I have been told the system did not easily accept the change. Afterwards it syncs to 0.46 instead of 448 kbps that seems rather strange considering the download is pretty good.

I wonder if there is anything wrong with the line and if the cap is somehow still there. I have an NTE5 faceplate and the quality of the line appears very good

Maybe a moderator can clarify why the upload is so bad. I really need a bit more upload speed to be able to work from home. I don't recall such pathetic upload speeds since I was on ADSL 14 years ago

Re: Poor upload speed

FYI - .448kbps is as near as is 0.46Mbps, you just need a PN Help Team staffer to see if your  upload is capped at 448kbps, I can't comment, so don't quote me here, but it looks like you may be capped - with a DL profile like that, it SHOULD be possible to acheive n upload closer to 0.8Mbps.

Re: Poor upload speed

Well this morning is downloading at 14.32 mbps but still gives me 0.4 mbps upload
It does seem rather strange
I have already been on the phone once it would be good to have some explanations on why the upload is so bad

Re: Poor upload speed

Your upload speed looks like it is still capped, To confirm it what is your upstream sync speed and SNRM from your modem stats?  It seems whatever support tried to do has not worked. Ask them to have another go.

Re: Poor upload speed

I was on the phone with support and yes the uncap order failed so they are resubmitting it again
