Poor speeds and poor router signal

Since August my speeds have started to tumble from 45meg to 15meg also router signal has gone very poor and on really has reception in one room of the house. would this be down to a dodgy router of would there be another reason.
Thanks.

Re: Poor speeds and poor router signal

Hi cthemogs and welcome to the community forums.
Were you connected over wireless when you noticed the reduction in speeds?
If so I'd advise working through the tips mentioned here which may hopefully help with both of the issues you've mentioned:
http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/wireless_broadband/wireless_signal.shtml
Otherwise if a drop in speeds has been observed whilst you've been connected over ethernet then a fault would be the best way forward (I can see you've raised one with us).
