Re: Plusnet router crashes macbook

I am pleased to find this page. I have had exactly this problem with my Plusnet router and my Macbook. The Plusnet guy I spoke to said he'd never heard of such a thing and told me to go out and buy another router (or another computer). I am not a techy person and I don't know about changing settings.

Re: Plusnet router crashes macbook

It is an obscure issue, belived to be related to old versions of MAC iOS. The Superusers have asked for the issue to be clarified, but given Windows PCs configured for IPv6 operation and also later MACs function without issue, it does rather look like an Apple iMac issue. You ought to be able to find Apple support guidance on turning off IPv6 support.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Plusnet router crashes macbook

Thank you very much indeed. I have found how to turn off the IPv6 and everything is back working again. Saved me much bother and possibly money.
