I thought the current line speed shown for my account would change to reflect the current BT profile for the line but this never seems to happen.
It is currently about 2Mb lower than the profile from the BT speed test.
Is there anything a user can do to give it a nudge?

There's nothing from an end user point of view unfortunately, however you and many others will be pleased to hear that the scripts we use to update these have been completely stripped down and re-written. They need fully testing and then allocating to a rollout window, but it's looking promising at the moment.

Although the difference wasn't that great I did find it a bit odd that it never changed.
I assume from your comments that this has been an ongoing problem for a while.
