Plusnet checker says I can get upto 20Mbit, weird.....

As my exchange has not been upgraded to ADSL2+ yet from all the data I can see....
including SamKnows

and Plusnet Usertools checker...
BT have advised that no current planned date for WBC on 21CN exists

So what gives?  Does upto 20Mbit actually mean upto 8Mbit???

1Mb is still "up to 20Mb" (as is any speed less than 20Mb including sub dialup speeds)!
What does the Plusnet checker actually say?

However my exchange is not ADSL2+, it's only bog standard ADSLMax (upto 8MB).
So why the discrepancy?

Raised a support ticked asking to be switched to a 21CN/ADSL2+ connection, lets see what happens... 🙂

Not sure why it does, seems very odd. Unfortunately we can't place an order though due to adsl2+ not yet being available I'm afraid.
I'll have a look into why our checker is reporting differently.

There is some history with my exchange, for quite some time it was showing a 21CN RFS Date, and then it got pulled...  (pretty sloppy for a town that's hosting Olympic events next year...)
For a long time there was also a discrepancy with what the Plusnet checker was saying and what SamKnows was saying with regards to ADSL2.
