If you right-click the system tray icon for Plusnet Assist and choose 'system details' it should tell you the version number.
New version: 01.00.02.05P

Thanks Chris, by uninstalling and reinstalling it is possible to get the update. It looks like the pop up update is not working correctly though as I have the same problem on two OS and two machines.

Sorry to hear that. I'll raise it internally but I think in the mean time you'll be better off uninstalling and reinstalling on both machines, sorry for the hassle.
