Plusnet Newsletter

Hi
I'm no longer receiving the Plusnet email newsletter.  The last issue I got was number 22 in October last year.  I am aware of problems with the Plusnet email filter at the moment, but am not sure that this would have an affect on the receipt of this newsletter.  Has anyone else not been receiving it? Is anyone able to shed some light as to why this might be the case - and advise how to resolve it?
Thanks very much.

Can you expand on this, for us dummies who aren't aware of any such problems?
Thanks

Chris.
This service status http://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&support_action=messages&ispservice_id=email explains the current situation with some spam filtering settings, such as blacklisting/whitelisting.

The last copy I received was Issue 24 on 11/02/2009, the previous one was the Christmas Special on 18/12/2008.
Recent Newsletters have been sent only to the postmaster mailbox; do you monitor that?

Re: Plusnet Newsletter

Hi all,
You need to be opted in to receive marketing communications if you want to receive the newsletter, also yes we send it to the default (usually postmaster) address on the account. If you've set up a separate email address on the account too we'll send it to both that and the postmaster/default address.
I believe Pete's looking at getting all newsletters and press releases put up on this community site somewhere, I think it was in the press release thread. If I find a link I'll update here. Either way I'll chase it with him.
The next edition is being planned as we speak.

I'm opted in Matt but don't receive it but if I can read it 'online' I don't mind that. Smiley

Option 3 at home.
I don't expect to see it at work as we have a business package here.

Re: Plusnet Newsletter

I'd thought that I was opted in to receive those marketing messages.  Having said that though, its possible that I've inadvertently opted myself out somehow a few months ago.  Embarrassed
I do monitor my postmaster address and have an alternate e-mail address at which I had also been receiving newsletters.
I'll try selecting the opt-in again.  Where do I go to find this, please?
Is there a page on Plusnet where previous issues are archived for online access?
Thanks.

Re: Plusnet Newsletter

You can find the opt in / out options in the 'Email Communication Preferences' section of https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=myemail&s=1&redirected=yes

Re: Plusnet Newsletter

Thank you, Colin.
However, I am only seeing a check box for:
Quote
I would prefer not to receive electronic communications about the special offers, promotions and services available from PlusNet
on that page.
There doesn't appear to be an ability to opt in.  How would I opt-in here?

Re: Plusnet Newsletter

If the box is ticked, you are opted in... if it's not, you aren't.
If you want to give me your username, i can check for you.

Colin
I've sent you a message with my Plusnet username, in order that you can check my opt in / opt out status.
Thanks.
