How soon after midnight were you checking the speeds? Loads of people kick off their downloads at midnight to use the free downloads and the network gets very busy. An hour or so later when most have finished speeds pick up dramatically.

I was leaving the downloads running overnight and discovering in the morning that i had downloaded very little.. inidcating the speeds never picked up.
I think im just going to have to be more patient and try convince work to find faster methods.
