Please Could I Have My Activation Date?

Hello,
I recently signed up to Plusnet broadband but I haven't been given an activation date. Could I please be told it?

Firstly a nice warm welcome to our community forums.
Your broadband is due to go live on the 5th February, we'll send you a confirmation text when your line is active.
You can keep tabs on the progress of your broadband line <a href="https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=adsl_status">here</a>.

I got an email saying it is going live on the 6th. Which is it?

It will be some time on the 5th, though notionally up to midnight. However I would expect it to be complete by lunchtime. First the engineer has to do some jumpering in the exchange, which would give you a green broadband light, then routing information added to direct the connection to Plusnet.
Once that is done Plusnet should be notified and your line is activated (so you can logon).

Is it definitely the 5th then? Because my account says the 6th and I got an email saying the 6th.

Hi there,
With Fibre the line should be active shortly following the order, though this can sometimes take a while given that the engineer has to finish his work and submit his report for the job - this is why activation is stated as the day after the order by default. The account will activate automatically when we get the notification from BT that the order's complete but if you don't want to wait you can let us know when it's done and we'll activate it early for you - either let us know here or call our support team Smiley

Matt,
I haven't ordered fibre! My Internet connection has now stopped working and I can no longer connect with my old  ISP login details. I have had nothing from Plusnet.

Hi Sorry,
Just here to say i have the same situation currently on going. Activation date 6th, however the service with my old provider seems to have stopped this morning.
Only thing is i just received a text (at about 9am) saying that my router has just been dispatched.
Is it normal that the modem is sent just a day before/on activation day? Seems a bit late in the day....

I seem to have been put onto ADSL1. I was on ADSL2+ before so could this be changed?
