Pings fine but download speeds are dialup slow

I've been trying to get updates from Microsoft and Nvidia all day today and suffering with at best 12kb/s when trying to download from either site.  Pings are fine to either site but download speeds have taken a dive, as usually I get 60-140kb/s during the day

So wondering if the traffic management has gone tits up as I know I'm no where near being capped for using more than my alloted 30mb last month

I tried the Nvidia drivers and was getting about 20kb/s, there was another thread about download server speeds but I can't find it now

Morning guys,
Given that it was patch Tuesday last night, I'd expect that to have had an impact on the speeds that people will have been seeing for download server traffic.
Hopefully it should be better today/tonight.

Yeah it's coming down at about 500k this morning
