Hi,
Been on Plusnet since mid-September and since I transitioned I've noticed that I get major ping spikes when trying to play games like CSGO - happens across several servers. I've completed a WinMTR attached. I didn't have a spare microfilter in the box when it arrived so I haven't been able to test that yet.

Hello @adamedward,
Thanks for getting in touch with us here.
I'm sorry you are having trouble with your connection and I apologise for any inconvenience this causes you. I've checked over your line and there is nothing that would cause these spikes in ping that we can see from our side. Are you noticing these occurring on multiple devices/different online games? Can you go ahead with our trouble shooting steps here and let us know how you get on?

Do you have anything that could be uploading in the background? Cloud backup, Iphotos, Google Drive sync, etc. It's easy to saturate the uplink on DSL and that will increase RTT unless you have some form of QoS on your router to specifically manage this. Note that Plusnet may apply QoS in the download direction, but they can't do so on upload as the bottleneck is at your end.
I noticed this when I was first with PN. Doing a speed test ping time was unaffected during the download test (courtesy of PN QoS), but went through the roof during the upload test (courtesy of my crappy router).
