Ping just gone through roof

My ping times on ADSL2+ have always been fine. Tonight all OK, restarted laptop, as WinDoze had downloaded an update, and kept nagging me. Now got sky high pings over 200ms, tracert sometimes does not complete. Restarted again, and restarted connection to PlusNet, and things a little better but still getting lag. On THN-AG1.  Is this something others are seeing, or just a symptom, I have just seen of the general latancy issues across the 21CN network??  Pings now around 140ish. Usually 30-40ms.

I too am experiencing a rise in ping times from 30-40 to 70-80. There is an ongoing problem with plus.net 21CN pings (http://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&support_action=messages&ispservice_id=networkcapacit) that I think they are attempting to fix.
I can agree that this problem is extremely frustrating and any updates from the PN staff would be appreciated.
