James. Although there are four other devices that can connect to the router via wireless or ethernet cable, they haven't been on/connected during my tests.
Also I've tested while running just a browser in safe mode and then tested on a normally loaded session with a bittorrent client chugging away in the background (throttled back at my end to 10kb) and it seems marginally quicker on the normal session - as though it doesn't have to "wake-up" the line when it's already doing something.

Thanks Ottmar.
Just to confirm, the device you were using to make the traceroute from, was not doing anything else?

I'm still seeing quite long ping replies. Has interleaving been turned off? Is there anywhere that I can check my interleaving status?
This is the best of three tests I did a few minutes ago:
[tt]Pinging bbc.co.uk [212.58.254.252] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 212.58.254.252: bytes=32 time=62ms TTL=249
Reply from 212.58.254.252: bytes=32 time=108ms TTL=249
Reply from 212.58.254.252: bytes=32 time=109ms TTL=249
Reply from 212.58.254.252: bytes=32 time=42ms TTL=249
Ping statistics for 212.58.254.252:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 42ms, Maximum = 109ms, Average = 80ms[/tt]

Hiya,
Interleaving is still set to automatic. Do you want me to turn it off for you?
