All
In my infinite wisdom (!) I decided to replace my old BT Voyager 1250 (b) wireless router with a Philips CKA5720 (g) wireless router.
Unfortunately I cannot seem to get the Philips to even see the ADSL line coming into the house. Does anyone have a link/settings that explicitly tell me what the router and Plus net are expecting each other to see ?
I've spent ages messing about with PPoE and MTU and "stuff" and am at a point where confusion is just about absolute!
I'm setting it (I think!) to :-
PPoE
G-DMT
1492
0-38
and my Plus net userid & pass
Is there anything glaringly obvious that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance
Pat

Try PPoA
MTU might be better at 1500
Good Luck

Got it to work finally;
VPI/VCI - 0/38
Encap - LLC
Protocol - PPPoA
I'll try changing the MTU later, once I'm confiident that all is ok!
(Best bit of aadvice I think is patience - once you try something give it a few to "settle down" so to speak)
