Peering problems? Cannot connect to several US sites.

I am  having trouble connecting to various US-based sites via Unlimited FTTC.
It seems to be mainly the CDNs or parts of these sites (you can get the basic HTML page, but no images, CSS, etc). Loading UK-based sites (BBC and so on) is absolutely fine.
So far I cannot connect to:
GMail, eBay, Slashdot, Netflix. Reddit is very slow (but that might be usual). Amazon.com and .co.uk load but cannot connect, or connects very slowly, to their images CDN.
Any ideas?

Re: Peering problems? Cannot connect to several US sites.

Can you try a traceroute to 216.137.37.97 (this is a Amazon CDN server in San Francisco) and cdn.netflix.com ?
Could you also try a nslookup on dtbo1m1at7czg.cloudfront.net and cdn.netflix.com ?
Despite being US sites you've listed, the CDNs will be based out of the UK for most of them.

Are you using custom dns settings?

Amazon images seemed to be hosted on g-ecx.images-amazon.com (cloudfront.net) and z-ecx.images-amazon.com (akamai).

Hi nickpollard,
Sorry to hear of the issue you're experiencing. Is this still ongoing?
