Panasonic DMR-PWT635 Won't Connect to internet

Hi,
I am not particularly clued up on IP's, DNS's and Gateways, and usually rely on auto setup functions.  However, I have today bought a Panasonic DMR-PWT635 and the easy setup to connect it to my WiFI has not worked (even after several attempts).
I have a Standard PlusNet Router (having only joined 2 months ago).
On the device I go to Easy Network Setting (Home Network Connection Check) and I get the following Results:
1. Wiresless Setting - Pass
2. IP Address Setting - Home Network Available
3. Connection to Gateway - Fail
Looking in the trouble shooting section of the manual it says Check "settings IP Address, DNS settings".
I have know idea what this means, what I should be checking or what to change.
Any help to get this device connected would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Panasonic DMR-PWT635 Won't Connect to internet

Try setting the IP etc manually
IP address 192.168.1.200
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.254
DNS server 8.8.8.8
See if that helps

Re: Panasonic DMR-PWT635 Won't Connect to internet

Welcome to the forums.
First I would suspect wifi congestion.  Streaming over wifi is not ideal, are you able to get a wired connection for the TV?
Also take a look at the speed issues thread and post the requested data under a new thread with a relevant title please.

@mods,
Merge this thread with the referred too TV problem thread ... Or lock it?  Roll_eyes

@CRT,
Given that this is a reoccurring theme, can products raise the issue with TG to find out what is going wrong with the DHCP offer process here?  It sounds not unlike the issues I have reported with Vista platforms.
