Re: Packet loss...

Hi Bobby505, can you advise which gateway you are on http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway/ and whilst you are at usertools run the exchange checker and look to see what your exchange VP status is?

Re: Packet loss...

Sure, I am on pte-ag1 at the moment, but have tried restarting the router and going on a dif. gateway but the problems remain... It says my exchange VP capacity is currently green too.  Sad

Re: Packet loss...

I just checked your tickets.  There must be something very odd going on with what you are seeing on those games.  Loads of our customers are fine playing the same ones at any time of day.
Hopefully one of the network guys will take a look at your updated ticket soon.  Sorry for the delay!

Re: Packet loss...

Think i've worked out what might be the problem.
According to the wireshark capture I just did, packets are being given the correct platinum status when they are travelling from the server to my pc, but bronze when they are travelling the other way...
thanks for the reply

Re: Packet loss...

Agghh literally tearing my hair out here, haven't been able to play games for over a week now which is my main reason for having a broadband connection  Crazy
Only progress my ticket seems to have made is that the network people have worked out that my traffic is being prioritized correctly...
Is there anything else I can try??? I'm desperate!!

Re: Packet loss...

Sure, I did a little experiment; booted up a game (left 4 dead) and connected to a server. Then I opened up a command prompt and pinged the same server. See screenshot for results. Then I did the same but I connected to a different server and this time I did a tracert, see the second screenshot.

Yes, different router didn't make a difference. I had a Belkin originally and bought this when the problem emerged...
Yeah, all ports forwarded correctly even though they were never set up before the problems started and it didn't stop it working!
Thanks for the help btw
