PPPoA or PPPoE - VC Based or LLC Based

After purchasing a Netgear  DGND3700 Router today I thought I would try auto detect setup.
I noticed that the setting it detected to use are PPPoE instead of PPPoA which I used to use and LLC Based instead of VC Based. So I am now using the wrong setting according to this.

Should I manualy change them? Will I upset plusnet by using these settings?

Re: PPPoA or PPPoE - VC Based or LLC Based

Hi there,
PPPoE is known to work fine on ADSL2 services (I believe some forum members here actually get slightly better speeds using that over PPPoA) though I must admit I didn't know that LLC modulation worked - however you're showing online so it looks like all is good Smiley
We'll certainly not be upset if you keep using the same settings, if it's working then go for it.

Re: PPPoA or PPPoE - VC Based or LLC Based

After some testing I have found out that all 4 combonations work for me.
Thanks Matt for the quick reply.
