Re: PPP dropped unable to authenticate

Ditto, went down at 18:03 and reconnected to an 172 address. At 18:16, I was able to connect with my static IP.

Re: PPP dropped unable to authenticate

Indeed, there does seem to be a problem..
You will be able to get through to support, but might take a while, given that there are approximately 100 calls in the queue
I'm sure a Plusnet rep will post a service status message if it's deemed necessary

Re: PPP dropped unable to authenticate

Anyone unable to reconnect, try leaving your router off/disconnected for 10 mins then try again.

Re: PPP dropped unable to authenticate

Me too
A router reboot got everything back including the PPP session but still no internet access
It took three disconnect/reconnect actions to actually get it working
At first I thought my router had gone down so I was happy to see that I am not alone

@mods - can you please lock this thread in favour of the above?

After merging / locking / hiding... this link no longer works.

Broadband Connectivity (82855) - NEW
Broadband
Posted on: Wednesday 17 September 2014, 18:24
Earlier this evening we experienced a drop in a large number of customer sessions across our broadband network.
This will have caused a large volume of customers to lose connectivity to the Internet.
Our network engineers are currently investigating this.
If you are struggling to connect to the Internet then please try powering off your modem or router for 30 minutes before powering it back up and attempting to re-establish a connection to the Internet.
We'll provide another update later this evening.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
Kind regards,

Re: PPP dropped unable to authenticate

If it's a modem/router, just disconnect the session and reconnect later Shocked (though you knew that, didn't you  :D)
Plusnet FTTC (Sep 2014), Essentials (Feb 2013); ADSL (Apr 2009); Customer since Jan 2004 (on 28kb dial-up)
