Re: PN please reset my SNR

I'm puzzled,    sync has gone up ( 5k+ ) . Profile on BT and PN has gone up ( 4500 ) . But download speeds have stayed the same  ( 2300 ) . Before this particular problem started I constantly downloaded at 5k - 6k ! What's occurring ? Huh

Hi,
Not wanting you to suck eggs here, but have you rebooted?  Often our profile changes require a reboot for them to take affect.

Re: PN please reset my SNR

Can you try rebooting again for me, then run a BT Speedtest?  If you could also post your line stats, or if you don't have these then I can dig them out.

Re: PN please reset my SNR

Must of needed some settling in, has improved a bit..
Sync at  6400
IP  4500
SNR    6 Down      22 up
ATT 44 down        29 up
OP  19 down        12 up
  Throughput  3827
Still b4 this prob used to sync at 7k+.........  still better than 350  yes 350  not a typo ... I was getting

Re: PN please reset my SNR

Okay.  that's definitely better.  the IP Profile should increase further and 3.8Mbps isn't bad for a 4.5Mbps profile.  You should be able to get an IP Profile of 5.5Mbps on those sync speeds assuming that they remain stable.

Re: PN please reset my SNR

I only hope my sync stays up, already my voice line is getting noisy again, which was the start of all my troubles before. Perhaps my local exchange needs a complete overhaul

Re: PN please reset my SNR

Hi there,
It might be an idea to get BT Retail to test your line and see if they are able to help.

Hello there,
If you raise a ticket requesting your SNR margin to be set to a specific amount, then I'll be happy to raise it with BT for you.

Hi James, I have done this now, would appreciate the help
thanks, ady

Re: PN please reset my SNR

Morning  Smiley
INTERNAL: FNF. Rej. If this isn't corrected tomorrow, please call SMC.

What does this mean ? Am I suppose to act on that ?
Only thing I've noticed so far is the change from fast path, to interleaving back to fast path!

Cheers

Fault not found. SMC is the Service Management Centre (I think).
I'll pick up on this now.  Sorry I wasn't able to late last week.  I had a couple of *those* days.
