Someone forgot to put 50p in the metre.

Kind advice follows. Wink
metre= a measurement of about 39.4 inches
meter= an apparatus to measure consumption
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: PN - major service incident

Hi folks,
just for information ...........  I am connected to gateway pcl-ag04 - City Lifeline House.
I was connected to the same gateway at approx 7:30 am this morning and my router
is indicating a connection time of approx. 3days 17 hours.
[yes managed to reset my router]
So not sure if affected by this outage or not  Huh

Hi everyone,
If you're still not online please turn your router off for a full hour and try again.

Tried that and still no connection. Router's internet light remains off. Just receive a "further log on information may be required" and "authentification failed" after being prompted for PN username and password.

@Resistor240v I've checked your connection it looks like stale session, powering down for 60 minutes should fix this for you.

Thanks. Tried that earlier to no avail but will give it another go.

Re: PN - major service incident

I pulled the power out of the openreach modem for about 10 minutes and when I plugged it back in everything worked like normal.
if your still having problems its possible that would work for you as well
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Still nothing here, I unplugged modem and router for an hour. Internet light went green but is now red again.
Think I'll be leaving now this is happening too often.

Re: PN - major service incident

My Fibre connection went down about 10ish this morning.  I thought it was my router failing at first (it has done before).  So I left it off since then, and went out for the day.  Just booted up router now, and it's back on.  Smiley

Same here. Switched off my router for well over an hour. Switched it back on, still no connection to the internet so I left it to reconnect in it's own sweet time - no joy.
I've just logged on thro' my mobile to find Plusnet proclaiming all's well - we'll see.
So I'll switch off my router for another hour, make a ritual sacrifice to the internet deities, and see if we're back in touch with the virtual world in 60 minutes or so................

Re: PN - major service incident

Have turned the router off for one hour, still the same, authentification problem.
Would it be safe to turn the openreach modem off for ten minutes?
If that doesn't work, i don't know.
