P2P being affected tonight?

I am trying to download something (tested a few items) off p2p tonight and it's struggling to get over 120kB/s anyone else having any issues?
I have done a speed test and speeds are fine downloading via the web.
Tried to hop gateways and no luck.

Btw something that i am wondered, what is the max speeds you have had on p2p? Just 72mbps (I'm around this speed sometimes quicker) = 9.0mb/s and I have never had that speed yet.

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

I have a 73mbps connection and I quite often can hit over 9mb/s I have had 9.6mb/s a few times dunno how because that equates to 76.8mbps. On average though  on a decent torrent I'm usually over 8mb/s

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

Probably because the 73Mbps is the "agreed" bit rate with a level of "tone loading contingency" for periods of mild interference, whereas the 76.8Mbps is during a "good" period where the contingency level has been reduced.

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

I have been having problems this morning with download speeds of around 20kbs with P2P. I started the download at just after 7 to gain advantage of "free download" time but it is still going more than 3 hours later.

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

If you are taking advantage of the free download period it means you are on an old account - have you looked at upgrading to Unlimited?

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

@jelv  I am on unlimited but prefer to download from P2P in the quiet hours. I am probably wrong but I tend to think that traffic is a lot less between midnight and 8am so that files will download a lot quicker. I know it shouldn't make any difference as I am on ~64Mbps but have only been on fibre for 12 days

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

All seems fine tonight must have been a glitch or something  :).

Fastest I have seen is around 8.2mb/s on p2p and 8.7mb/s via an internet download but speedtests/btw performance tests say I am around 73/75 depending... Must be my setup?

Re: P2P being affected tonight?

72Mbps equates to 9 MB/s as its bytes and bits so 72Mbps / 8 = 9 and 73 Mbps /8 = 9.125. Hope that helps .
