Re: Oooohhh! Shiny New Button!

Have you checked your internal wiring especially removing the ring wire? http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/socket.htm

Re: Oooohhh! Shiny New Button!

itsme,
Romoved the ring wire, using BT iPlate and get same results in engineers test socket (actually it makes no difference where I plug the router in, extensions or master). I've also got rid of all energy saving bulbs (contraversially!) which caused loads of interference.  There is nothing at home or locally I can find that causes my line to have deterorated.....

Re: Oooohhh! Shiny New Button!

Looks like the shiny new button didn't work - on my line at least Smiley
It looks as though I'm still on ADSL Max - the order for my line to be changed was due to complete yesterday but, as of this morning, nothing seems to have happened. There are two tickets on my account (30022464 and 30022466) both provisioning a reprovide to ADSL2+.
Could someone have a look to see if the order has progressed OK?

Re: Oooohhh! Shiny New Button!

@ashgeo - Most routers don't report attenuation above 63.5dB.  It's possible that yours is considerably higher!

@ Paul
Some oddness with the autoordering tool.  I've had to replace your order.
Learning experience for me too Smiley

Shouldn't you rename this topic "Oooohhh! Not so Shiny New Button!"? Tongue

Re: Oooohhh! Shiny New Button!

Hiya,
I'm afraid that BT are still being weird.
I'll try again this time next week and try and get some information about what's going on with your exchange.

Re: Oooohhh! Shiny New Button!

I've logged a call with BT WBC provisioning.  They think that the exchange isn't enabled yet.
They're going to get back to me with confirmation and if it hasn't been enabled, rough dates when it will.
