Only Yellow-ended Ethernet cables work?

Hi all, I have been using Wifi without issues on my Hub One, but needed to use a powerline adapter in order to connect a device.  When I plugged in a CAT6 cable, I had just brought, it stopped the Wifi from working. It dropped out and started working again when I disconnected the cable.  If I used the Yellow-ended Ethernet cable provided with the router, it worked fine.

So I guess these yellow-ended cables are cross-over?  Isn't that a bit weird?

Cheers,

Andy

Re: Only Yellow-ended Ethernet cables work?

They are not cross over according to my tester. My guess would be that you have a faulty Cat 6 cable.

Ah OK, I will investigate.  Thanks mate.

EDIT: Just checked the wiring and they aren't crossed-over. Nice.
