Online gaming high pings, spikes and timing out.

Hey for a while now; around the times of 5pm - 9pm weekdays and weekends I get major high pings that seems to spike up from no where and some times I time out of my online sessions, I'm connected to my router via wireless connection. My general browsing and using the internet is fine speed wise, just when it's online gaming.
Is there a way to fix this?

Wireless and gaming so not mix, every electrical gadget close to your router in your house, can give interference degrading your wireless lan speed to your router.  Always play games when wired.

I tested it wired and still I get high pings and spikes. My ping is good (40 - 60) during the times other then the ones I mentioned in the 1st post.

What are you playing? PC or Console?
If you're on PC, are you sure you're joining UK/Western EU based servers as opposed to ones located in the USA?

PC and I only join UK/EU servers.

Yes didn't make a difference.
Lagging on games online atm.

Mulitple and I don't think it's that.
I had this issue pretty much since i've been with plusnet.

you can't fix a problem if you don't know what it affects, knowing the games help

Multiple online PC games like I said before the pings are fine unless its around 5pm - 9pm (getting 90 ping atm and spiking).
