Can anyone suggest a way I could set something up to make emails to admin@domainname.co.uk come to us both automatically?

I'm also not sure if the PN one is 100% reliable so maybe you could run your own list manager as an alternative.

Or Mailing list set-up under Manage my mail.

Hence why he needs an external means to forward the email to his colleague when he is not able to forward the email manually (or automatically).

If I change admin to redirect to the Google mailbox that removes the requirement for it to collect via POP3. I can then set up a rule in Google to forward on to the other admin. I'm happy to collect the admin mail from my Google account using Thunderbird imap.
The big, big, big advantage is that in the Google filter I can specify the Google filter on the basis of mail sent to admin@domainname.co.uk and it wont forward mail sent to admin@username.plus.com or admin@myotherdomain.co.uk. Yay!

Having deleted my admin mailbox and created a redirect in it's place MagicMailMonitor can still connect to the old mailbox using POP3 and Thunderbird can still connect using Imap - obviously neither find any mail!

We do this on some of our mailboxes. Once a mail is dealt with it's moved into another folder - so nobody else deals with it.

Quote from: Peter Not if (as Jelv states) his PC is not running and thus outlook is not running.
I don't think he said his PC was off and outlook not running he just said he wasn't there. So message rules and leaving PC on would seem to be the easiest solution?

Remove the admin mailbox and create a list via the Manage My Mail tool called admin@domainname.co.uk
Once this has been done get both intended recipients to send a blank email to admin-subscribe@domainname.co.uk. Note that the email must be completely blank - Nothing in the subject line and nothing in the body (Be careful with Thunderbird as it tries to put '(No Subject)' in the subject line if you try and leave it blank).
Each recipient will receive a response containing instructions you should follow on how to confirm your subscription to the list.
Once this is done, email sent to admin@domainname.co.uk will be delivered to both individuals.

Quote from: Liam One other way of sorting is is just an IMAP mailbox with multiple people subscribed to it.
That's an interesting idea. The one minor problem is that the other admin isn't on Plusnet and so wouldn't be able to send. Also I don't know what email client she uses (I know it's a MAC) so I don't know if it supports IMAP - nor would I have a clue on advising her how to configure it!

I never leave the PC on when I am out of the house.

I did look at mailing lists. How do I control who can subscribe to the list and close it to new subscriptions when the two of us are members?

I've just looked further at mailing lists.
You said create a list called admin@domainname.co.uk.
1. When you create a mailing list you only enter the bit before the @ so how do you do as you suggested?
2. If I did manage to set it up as specific to the domain, where do emails to admin@myotherdomain.co.uk or admin@username.plus.com go?
If I can't set it up like that, any suggestions on how I make it only forward the correct domain only?
