Hi,
Although I am a Plusnet customer, I have an interesting issue with my work BT Internet connections and Plusnet infrastructure.
A tracert www.bbc.co.uk and a tracert bbc.co.uk yield different paths with one of them failing at hop 6. I noticed that within the hops is Plusnet, hence this post.
Is BT Internet using Plusnet infrastructure exclusively now?
I also understand from a friend that although they are BT customers they have had to change MTU setting due to the Plusnet routing.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Richard

Hi Richard,
I've not heard of anything like that before. Unless it's part of the Broadband Scope platform?
Mind posting a traceroute?

It's the bbc, www.bbc.co.uk doesn't respond to ping but bbc.co.uk does.

Richard, are those traceroutes from your BT work connection? If so, James' assumption is very likely to be correct and your work connection is probably being supplied through this.
