Re: OOOOOOOOOps

Given the fact that the line is interleaved - not too good for gaming - there are far too many uncorrected errors which could well kill gaming response
It may well be worth asking if the default noise margins (up and down) can be raised
As a comparison these are my stats after 5 days and I have a noisy line
Noise Margin:     4.1   dB
Connection Rate:  4928  Kbps
Line Attenuation: 50.0  dB
Power:            19.6  dBm
Max Rate:         5216  Kbps

SuperFrames:      26,055,933
SF (CRC) Errors:  7,584
Reed Solomon:     1,771,803,474
RS Corrected:     1,437,337
RS Un-Corrected:  87,811
HEC:              6,204

Re: OOOOOOOOOps

lagg  Embarrassed high pings, constant disconnections from servers,
PN has done everything in their power but its a pain in the bum for 10% of  the time , the other 90% its brilliant , but all i see is the High errors nowt else points to any problem , unless like the BT man said i Get  " rain "  somewhere on my line someone causes interference  Sad

He probably meant REIN. Have a read and see if it rings any bells...

Re: OOOOOOOOOps

Hi rongtw,
about a year ago I suspected a REIN issue, one specific 'feature' I had was CRC errors clocking up at a steady high rate when is was happening, see this routerstats graph: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=94027.0;attach=22605;image can you log similarly using Routerstats?
Incidentally, my issue was never really solved - my 'solution' was to reboot the router when things were bad which gave a significantly lower sync but dropped the errors to a much lower level and made the connection useable (even for casual gaming), I also mamanged to get my line profile 'fixed' (no normal DLM action), can't find the thread at the moment but it was a Plusnet trial so I kept fastpath despite the issues.
I have since moved to Fibre and not seen any of the previous problems since so never really followed it to final conclusion.
Call me 'w23'
