Not able to display web pages seemingly randomly

For several weeks now I constantly find that some sights randomly fall of the internet. For example, I can go to Google and type in a search, but instead of the results page the ‘page cannot be displayed’ error message comes up. If I then try to go back to Google it wont load. I can get that for any number of web sites at random but after I leave it for a while everything seems to correct itself. At first I thought it was perhaps my antivirus or something but that’s not the case.
It might be something my side, I did end up with 600kbps upload speed and 440kbps download speed the other day, so..?

If it was just the last few days then I would have guessed you were suffering from the current plusnet DNS problems.  See http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,77567.0.html

As mikeyd has alluded to, sounds like you're suffering from the intermittent DNS/routing problems that we're investigating. Probably worth you keeping an eye on Service Status.
We're trying our hardest to get to the bottom of things.

Ahh, I did wonder if it was somthing like that. As long as I know its not my end and that its all in hand thats the main thing!

The intermittent web browsing problems should now be fixed. @scarrabri, have you been having problems this evening? I notice that your kit's disconnected a few times over recent days, is this intentional?
