No speed change after upgrading from 40/10 to 80/20

Hi, 4 days ago i was upgraded from 40/10 to 80/20 fibre.
As of yet i have seen no increase in speed, i understand there is a 10 day training period or something like that, but surely there should be some kind of increase.
I used the BT speed test and it says my ip profile is 38.72 down and 10 up, which is the same as when i was on 40/10.
Is it me just being impatient? Or should i raise a ticket for someone to take a look at it?

It looks like you are still on the 40/10 product. Have you any closed tickets or service notices on your account that give a different completion date from the one you expected?

Mine was immediate.
I note that whilst Download speeds are reasonable, Upload speeds struggle to get anywhere near their stated "profile".

Thanks for the comments. I got emails and messages saying i had been upgraded.
Looks like time to raise a ticket.

Dear Mr Ogden,
Thanks for getting in touch.

I've checked on our suppliers systems and it looks like the upgrade to the 80/20 speeds was never placed so please accept my sincere apologies.

What I've just done is place the order manually but this does take 24 to 48 working hours to complete i'm afraid.

That would explain it Smiley
So hopefully should see a rise in speeds next week sometime.

Hi Pogdin,
I can see that your order has been placed, this will complete by the end of tomorrow. If for any reason your speeds haven't increased, please let me know and I will happily assist.

Re: No speed change after upgrading from 40/10 to 80/20

I have the same problem with my fibre extra. They send me an email confirming about the  product change to 80/20 mbps. I ring them in the today and they said it would take one hour after manual switching it 80/20mbps. Ring them again and they said it would take 10 days training to get 80/20. I'm frustrated because this 10 days theory does look like a technical term may be just buying time

There isn't any training period (except for call centre employees).  Smiley

I heard it has something to do with (DLM) Dynamic Line Management

Re: No speed change after upgrading from 40/10 to 80/20

Not on fibre surely?
DLM would only be optimising the few yards of copper from the cabinet to your house, as the fibre part is immune to interference etc.
