No internet light

Had problems all day with the internet. The internet light isn't in, so of course have no internet.
Tried resetting, powering off for 10mins then back on and have tried the troubleshoots on the plus net website (thank god for 4G) to nothing.
Is this a problem for anyone else and have any ideas on what I can do to sort?

Hi Josh, 

 

I can see you raised a fault with us yesterday and we picked up on a line fault. 

 

I'm happy to see engineers have been working on it already and it looks like it may be fixed. I'm personally not convinced as broadband diagnostic tests show me you're offline. 


Would you be able to check and see if the line has a dial tone? Let me know when you can.

Hello again,

Just got in and checked my home phone, still no sounds at all when I pick the phone up and the internet light is also still not lit

Phew! 


Glad to see that, I did see you're first reply from today earlier (i.e this one https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/No-internet-light/m-p/1516764#M321639) and expected that we'd need to tell Openreach to continue looking into it.

The internet keeps dropping out and coming back on, is that normal as it starts working again?

No, if it's doing that you have obviously still got a fault, get on to support and ask them to chase it up with their "suppliers" i.e. BT.
