Re: No Service Phone or Internet

stathe has given me his details which I've used to do a check. The OpenReach where and when site says:
Quote
Your cabinet is enabled for Superfast fibre however you're not able to order fibre just yet. This might be because the length of the line is too long to get Superfast speeds. We're actively looking at other options.

I guess that means waiting for something like FTTDP.
Edit: Further research shows you are 3km from the cabinet - as the crow flies.

Re: No Service Phone or Internet

"No left in jumpers"
It means it's not/never been connected to the Fibre Cab. There are jumpers in the PCP and between the PCP and the DSLAM Cab.
If you do your own, it should say you do have left in jumpers (20C ones?).

Re: No Service Phone or Internet

If it has been established that your cabinet is near the bridge at burrowbridge has it escaped the floods this year?
That area was extremely damp in 2014 Perhaps their "waterproof" cabinet and joints have  some corrosion.

Re: No Service Phone or Internet

From what I've been able to find it looks like what was a tiny exchange at Othery is now  'cabinet 1' on the Burrowbridge exchange.

Edit: Scrub that - new post coming

Re: No Service Phone or Internet

The building at Othery in my last post is the Burrowbridge exchange.
This show where the cabinets are: https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm?xid=456259&cabinets=10883
He's on P1 which is in Burrowbridge itself but lives in Stathe.
Looks like his best hope would be for a new cabinet in Stathe
Edit: Blast! Link didn't work.
Go to https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm
Enter Locality or Post Code to Lookup: Burrowbridge and click Lookup Locality
Now click Burrowbridge, Bridgwater, Somerset
Lastly click All 5 fibre cabinets

Re: No Service Phone or Internet

A  length of the river has now been dredged and pumps previoiusly neglected by the Environment Agency refurbished, the moors pumped out and not left to winter  flood because of Greening .So we hope for less flooding , though it is a tidal river, everyone elses water  My internet worked through the floods surprisingly .We are looking down on the area of the film and a couple of miles by road
