No Internet connection.

Good morning.
I have recently lost my Internet connection.
I've looked at my router set up page. The DSL connection has been up for 2 days 17 days.
The Internet is showing as connected too. To be sure I have disconnected and reconnected. It seems to connect fine.
My connectivity check shows;
DSL - good
ATM - good
PPP - good
IP - good
INTERNET - Bad
Connectivity to gateway (81.146.177.2)
with a big Red Cross next to it.
Any ideas?

We've had a drop this morning that's disconnected quite a few customers, service status is on the way.

Me too, no connection either. Glad i found this post couldn't even get through to the phone lines.
Thank god i can connect my phone to my laptop to get some internet.

Plusnet please fix it quick as i have 2 teens nagging me cos they can't play online games now!!  Grin

Yep my internet was down this morning, not long back up for me. I checked everything and nothing worked, so called plusnet and the  phone was engaged. That lead me to believe it was effecting other customers.

Unfortunately I'm still offline. Tried a router power cycle and manually connecting but no joy.
Hopefully it'll right itself at some point today. I'll keep an eye on the status updates.

You should be able to get online by now? Have you logged in to the router and made sure the username and password are entered and then pressed connect?

I'm out of the house now until tonight. I didn't check username and password as I didn't do a factory reset. I assumed the router would keep that information. I've only had to input it once during the initial setup months ago.
Would a simple power cycle/reset require inputting the username and password again? I'll certainly check tonight.

Incidentally, I did log in and try to connect about 20 minutes ago.

A reboot should be fine, we just prefer to advise logging into the router to click reconnect.

We'll there you go, I did have to set up my router from scratch after all.
