No ATM activity and PPP down

I joined Plusnet two weeks ago and received my router last week. The broadband light is a solid green however I am unable to access the internet and recieve the following result:
Test Results
DSL
ATM
No ATM activity detected on your DSL line.
PPP
Your connection is currently down.
Any help will be much appreciated!

ATM I think is the authentication part of BT's network  It could be that it's not running at PN's end if it was and you had an auth problem the internet light would be red.
I could be totally wrong. I have not worked at Plusnet for 4 years. They might as you to test with bt_test@startup_domain username.
Call Tech Support - as you know they are open 24/7 ( I did enough night shifts in tech support when I was there so believe that's true)
