Newsletters: why have they stopped being put on the portal?

http://www.plus.net/features/news/ has newletters 1 to 21, the latest (21) is dated August 2008.
Why has publishing them on the portal stopped?

Re: Newsletters: why have they stopped being put on the portal?

Now that's interesting, I didn't get newsletter 21 and certainly none after to my preferred mailbox, only, as with all previous, to my default mailbox - not that that especially bothers me.
I also notice the landscape at the top of the page John is not the snow scene as per other PN pages, it's just that standard green teletubbie one! Page not active in some way?

Hmm I don't seem to have received one since April last year. I wonder what occurred around that time.

Why has publishing them on the portal stopped?

Good question, I'll ask about tomorrow and see if we can get the list brought up to date.

Re: Newsletters: why have they stopped being put on the portal?

That's a point - the last thing I received was Issue 2 of Business Plus - the Business Newsletter.
That was dated 26th Oct 2007.
I haven't asked not to have them sent.
Sorry - a bit off topic.

If you go to https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=myemail&s=1&redirected=yes&?membermenu=emailsettings and select Email Communications Preference are you opted in or out?

Well, there is no tick in the box to say don't send them, if that's what you mean. That's what I meant by 'I haven't asked not to have them sent.'
There isn't actually a positive opt-in choice, just an opt out one.

Do you check your postmaster mailbox? Recent copies have been sent only to that.

Re: Newsletters: why have they stopped being put on the portal?

Simon, I've just realised that you must be on a business account and will therefore not get the newsletter targeted at residential users. I suspect part of the reason for the lack of a newsletter for business users is that the hot topic in Newsletter 3 was to be the business package refresh which was due over a year ago - and we all know what's happened with that!

Re: Newsletters: why have they stopped being put on the portal?

Hi John & all,
I'm not entirely sure why we haven't been putting the newsletters up on the website anymore.  I suspect it's down to them being written by Comms instead of Marketing, and we've just missed out on one of the things that we need to do.  I'll see if we can get this picked up later on today.

That would be good as I don't receive the email. Smiley

Re: Newsletters: why have they stopped being put on the portal?

spraxyt - yes, I do.
jelv - you could be right. The last general newsletter I got was Issue 9 in June 07. This was followed by Issues 1 & 2 of the Business newsletter. Issue 3 hasn't turned up. I take it from what you say that we all still await Issue 4!

James,
While you are sorting out the general newsletters, are you going to see about getting the business ones put on the portal as well?
