Newbie form Tesco

Hi this is my first post.  I have ordered Plusnet unlimited and am moving from Tesco.net.  Does anyone know if my Speedtouch router will work with Plusnet or whether it is locked to Tesco? It has never dropped out nor given any other problems for 2 years so I am reluctant to change the router unless I have to.  I have ordered a Plusnet router just in case. What do I have to do to the router settings to set up the Plusnet account?
Many thanks,
~Stcks~

Re: Newbie form Tesco

Hi and Welcome Smiley
I think you should be okay.  I've never heard of any references of Tesco locking their hardware and in a worst case scenario, we can either send you a router or alternatively, you should be able to flash yours with a non-ISP dependant version of firmware.

which speedtouch is your tesco router?
PN currently supply speedtouch 585 v7. I do belive PN also dont lock the firmware which is the right thing to do as you will own it on deffered fees till the end of contract

Re: Newbie form Tesco

I think it's been on for two weeks.
There is currently no TR-069 for Madasafish customers.

Re: Newbie form Tesco

The blog post about it dates from the 6th of August, so I'd say a little more than two weeks. Smiley

Re: Newbie form Tesco

I believe that it was turned off, and then back on again since that point.
