New user looking for an update on their service

I'm posting here on behalf of my father in law who ordered telephone and adsl from Plus.net a couple of weeks ago. The last correspondence was a letter on the 20th May saying things were in progress but nothing since then. This is a property with an existing BT phone line. They do not have any Internet access to check emails or update their account with a mobile phone number and have tried on a couple of occasions to contact via telephone but have been stuck in a queue so hung up.
Is there anyone that can assist with this or provide some feedback that I can relay?

why don't you login to your father in law's account and check
