Re: New user joining quick question

You can use either; the PN one is dual band capability giving you faster speeds if you have compatible devices.

Re: New user joining quick question

The following links should help. The first gives you the settings required to use your own equipment. The second gives details of PlusNet routers.

Re: New user joining quick question

Hi there @Calam first of all a warm welcome to the community forums.

The Plusnet Hub Zero (2704N) isn't a dual band router I'm afraid. The WiFi technology built-in is Wireless-N. As long as your router supports PPPoA and ADSL2+ it should work with Plusnet.

Once you receive confirmation that your broadband service has gone live, you'd need to configure it using the settings here: https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

I hope this helps.

Re: New user joining quick question

And no, the 2704 is not dual band, only the Hub 1, which comes with fibre connections is dual band.

Re: New user joining quick question

It's just one of the problems that happen when PN expand their network and borrow/pinch ip addresses from other parts of the BT group, before everything catches up o the correctly named owners.

Although @Gel is correct BTGS and Openreach are different BT Divisions.
