New house...

I am moving house on monday, and I just had a pre-look this afternoon.  Everything great so far.  Until I asked the Bellway sales manager who was touring us, where was the BT Master socket.  He pointed to a standard tel socket.
When I mooched around the house infact there were only 2 standard telephone sockets.  No master was found  Embarrassed
Will the engineer install a master when he comes on tuesday to connect the line?  If thats the case, can I select the location where the master socket to be?

Re: New house...

As it's ( I presume ) a new house , it may well have an External NTE http://kitz.co.uk/adsl/btsockets.htm
If it's just a PSTN line install he may well not do anything. If it's a Fibre install then he may replace the first socket with an NTE5 so that he can fit the VDSL faceplate.
Be interesting to hear what he does...

Re: New house...

Well there isn't an external NTE Box anywhere.
But in one of my previous posts, I have attached photos of the cable coming from the ground to the property.  Although the engineer will probably have to insert it to the home -
